Abay Industrial is chartered to consolidate public enterprises of the Amhara Region under a single institutional framework.
- 2018First Industrial Cluster
The Bahir Dar industrial cluster is assembled — five textile, packaging, and agro-processing enterprises brought under governance.
- 2019Dejen Works Breaks Ground
Phase I of the Dejen Cement Works commences, anchoring the Holding's long-horizon manufacturing thesis.
- 2021Tsehay Bank Launches
The financial sector establishment opens to the public, inheriting 850,000 founder clients on its first trading day.
- 2023Dejen Commissioning
The cement works enters commercial production. Phase II expansion announced the same quarter.
- 2025The Register at Forty-Eight
The Holding governs forty-eight enterprises across five sectors, with ETB 42.6B under institutional stewardship.
