# 05The Institution

Who we are,
and why we
were chartered.

# I
The Mandate

To consolidate the public and para-statal assets of the Amhara Region into a single, professionally-governed investment institution — and to steward them across generations.

Mission

To convert regional capital into enduring industrial, financial, and commercial enterprises whose returns compound over generations, not quarters.

Vision

A diversified, transparent, and internationally-respected sovereign investment institution that anchors the economic geography of the Horn of Africa.

01
Stewardship
The assets belong to a people. We hold them in trust.
02
Longevity
We prefer a century-long compound to a quarterly print.
03
Transparency
Open governance. An open register. Public accounts.
04
Industry
We build real things — factories, banks, plantations.
